Saskatoon -Margaret Driver : I have grown this lily for 4 years, It is very impressive. It is grown in among some pink and reg hardy roses; and has some white lilies adjacent. It is problably the most impressive of the "black" lilies, Alex Burnett out did himself in hybridizing "Night Flyer"! In late 2005 we romved a deck and had a brick patio built. During the construction "Night Flyer" was moved, then replaced and some extra soil (?) thrown over it. I was a bit worried as the site is a sand, clay, and garden soil mix that it would produce well in 2006. No need to worry "Night Flyer" is up and flying not as many blooms but next year he will certainly take-off!
