RASPBERRY ON WHIP. 1b. Asiatic hybrid - hybridized, grown, named, and registered by Fred Fellner (Vermillion, Alberta), and introduced by Riverside Gardens (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) in 1996. The petals are reddish pink in the basal half, apical half cream, shading to near white at the tips; large dark reddish spots over 1/2 to 3/4 of each petal; nectaries are reddish pink; pollen brown. Stems are 28-30 inches, blackish with 6-10 flowers; blooms early to mid July.
Saskatoon - Gil Joanis: I planted this lily in full sun, to near a rose bush and it is not reaching its full height. It is in heavy clay soil to which peat moss has been added. The bulb was planted 4 incghes deep. I fertilize with lawn fertilzer (16-20-0) in May and early July and top dress with well rotted manure in late fall. This lily survived a previous existence in a poorly drained area. I can definitely recommend it to the beginning lily grower.
